|Postpartum Depression: Care Implications for the Breastfeeding Mother
Postpartum depression is very common among women in the United States. Yet, at a time when we are trying to encourage mothers to breastfeed, we find that many mothers have had no information or misinformation about the relationship between breastfeeding and postpartum depression. The goal of this session is to help healthcare providers to give accurate information and reasonable choices to breastfeeding women who are at risk for or have been diagnosed with postpartum depression.
