Presumably, you’ve finished all of the learning segments for your Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative. Finally, #15 is the very last one! But now, you might be feeling a little rusty on what you learned in Session #1, or #2, or #3 or other early sessions that seem in the distant past. Perhaps you know that the assessment team will be coming to determine if your hospital meets the Baby-Friendly criteria, and that they’ll have questions for you. No, not just for the lactation team, not just for the manager or director, but for you! Will you be able to answer the questions? Will you and your hospital be ready? You probably see many ideal practices now, but maybe you see some that still need improvement. The goal of this program is to help you identify the barriers and solutions to implementation of the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding that comprise the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
